OYSTER POINT HALIBUT REPORT 4/13/2019

[Ready to Double Gaff]

Another beautiful day to chase some flat fish out in San Francisco Bay. Went out to Oyster Point with Keith (TLA), James, Shaun, Paul and Matt. The tide was somewhat bigger than ideal, but the weather was fantastic in the morning. Unfortunately, the bite was pretty slow. We didn’t get anywhere close to the action we saw in the last two weeks, but it was not a boring day at all. I hooked into a flat fish that gave me a heck of a fight. I had James and Shaun next to me ready to double gaff the flat fish that I fought for 7 minutes. When it finally came up to the surface, we realized that it was the wrong flat fish! We all kind of put the blame on TLA because he was yelling “no bat ray, no bat ray…” LOL. I had such great time with my NCKA brothers on the water. Just like TLA said in the intro of the video; when it’s slow, you just need to relax and enjoy the TLA grilled pork bahn mi sandwich or a sandwich of your choice.
