California Halibut Fishing Tips | Early Season Halibut fishing at Oyster Point

Report by The Lost Anchovy March 1, 2022

Welcome to this weeks episode of TLA. This week I go to Oyster Point with my Friends: Moomoo Outdoors, Thuy (Fishing 24/7), Fernando and Danny to target early season California Halibut. Through out this video, I will provide you with some helpful tips, that I have learned through the years, to get you on the California Halibut. If you want to learn to improve your halibut fishing game this is the episode for you!

Oyster point is a great location for a spring time halibut and stripers that seek out the warmer waters of the South Bay. The location can become windy in the afternoon so I recommend paying close attention to the weather forecast. Check out my updated “How to fish oyster point” article and review my “Halibut tutorial” to help you get on the fish, and keep the fish.

If you are interested in learning how to get into kayak fishing come to any of our California Canoe and Kayak stores in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our friendly staff will help answer any questions you may have and will help you get started!

Good luck and tight lines –TLA
