Funds raised from the 2022 ARW tournament will used to support the ” I heart Oakland estuary”
“I heart Oakland estuary” is a volunteer based organization whose purpose is to clean and reduce the Oakland and Alameda water ways of trash, debris and garbage. The organization is sponsored by the Oakland Parks and Recreation Foundation who will take donations on their behalf to help fund the community efforts. Read more on this Blog Post
Safety
Safety is the number one priority for the event organizing committee. We want to provide a safe and fun environment for all participants; however, the sport of kayak fishing carries inherent risk. All participants must sign and submit a waiver prior to participating.
All participants must comply with all USCG regulation and the tournament director has the discretion to shorten or cancel the tournament due to safety concerns. Minimum requirements to participate: (Functioning VHF radio, PDF)
