TOURNAMENT RULES
Participation and eligibility is open to anyone 18 years of age or older for the Cambria Slam Down III. Minors are eligible to participate with a parent or legal guardian signature on the release form and parent or legal guardian must be present the day of the tournament. A completed entry form, waiver, and entry fee must be received no later than the published entry date. Entry fee includes rights to fish and a captain’s bag which is on a first come first serve basis and includes one raffle ticket. There will be no ‘day of tournament’ registration, no exceptions. However, anglers may choose to register at the Captains meeting the evening before the event. If an angler chooses to register at the Captains meeting, he/she will not be issued a captain’s bag and the entry fee will increase. Captain’s bags will only be issued to those anglers who pre-register.
PRE REGISTRATION
Each Participant must pre-register and pay before September 19th . If you choose to pay after September 19th, the cost of the tournament will increase. Please see below for the breakdown of the cost for registration.
- Register by August 31th ~ $40 per Angler
- Register between September 1st – September 19th ~ $50 per angler.
- Registration at Captains meeting will be ~ $100 (Note: Please be advised that if you are registering after September 19th, you will not receive a captain’s bag. NO morning of registration.)

SCORING
will be administered as follows: Your total combination of the largest of each species that you catch will be your grand total. This will be scored on a point per inch (ppi) system of the following species below, with the corresponding points per species noted. A photo of your catch with length visible in the picture (Catch and Release) is accepted and encouraged.
Lingcod = 5.5 ppi
Rockcod = 8 ppi
Halibut = 5.5 ppi
Cabezon = 8 ppi
OPTIONAL JACKPOT
for the following 3 species: Lingcod, Rockfish, and Cabazon with $10 side bet per species with 100% payout per species individually. If no fish of that species is caught at all, proceeds will be split 3 ways. 34% will be given to a non-profit organization and 33% will go to each angler that won the other category.
